South of Scott Pass, Three Sisters Wilderness

OR, United States

I placed a stone at the base of a pine, off trail on a ridge just south of Scott Pass, in the Three Sisters Wilderness. The stone faces south, toward Stratton’s beloved North Sister. The spot also nicely fits his Japanese middle name, Matsuo, meaning pine in an elevated place. I love you so much, buddy. Thanks for the gorgeous hike!
