Lost Lake Trail, Newberry Crater

LaPine, OR, United States

A cool day in late June. Found a little patch of icy precipitation still left from the previous stormy day. A grove of whitebark pine, Stratton’s favorite tree, and a view through the trees to his beloved Three Sisters, as well as to Paulina Peak. Stone is nestled in a spot where snows should linger.
