Black Kaweah

I spread Stratton’s ashes at the summit of black Kaweah on a solo trip from Mineral King. This peak has always been the mystical dark mountain on the horizon I’ve looked at my whole life. It’s positioned in the heart of the range, with a perfect view down into Valhalla to giant forest, and to the east the throne room of the Sierra.
